Relumed is a strategy consulting agency, serving nonprofit, small business, and startup leaders. Relumed was founded by Marita Herkert-Oakland, who has more than 15 years of experience as a strategy and operations leader.

We strive to make strategic and operations support accessible to leaders who often don’t have the resources available to bring on a full-time Chief of Staff or strategy professional. And in the process, we get to partner with some of the most amazing, visionary leaders who are making big waves in their communities and across the country.
Founded in 2020 and based in Madison, Wisconsin, Relumed has evolved from offering visual facilitation services to combining creative and operations strategy, to today, where we believe we have found incredibly impactful ways to help organizations realize and implement strategy. Meet Marita Herkert-Oakland
I’m Marita, a strategic planner and fractional Chief of Staff here at Relumed. I support and challenge leaders to do their best work, manage teams with compassion, guide projects with precision, and help move organizations forward. I have guided teams and organizations across many sectors, including nonprofit, government, small business, and startups.
My areas of expertise are in strategic planning, facilitation, communications, marketing, data analysis, and project management. I am skilled at managing large-scale projects while identifying and attending to the most important tasks that will move a project forward. And I keep people at the center of all that I do.
I hold an MA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College.
When I’m not working with clients, I love movie nights with my family, cooking meals that at least half of my family will eat, running, and figuring out how to tame my entirely wooded yard.

I’m Eric, Co-Founder and Creative Director here at Relumed. As a creative entrepreneur, it’s my life’s work to help people better understand and be understood with the use of creative strategy.
